Playing with Daddy

Anna loves it when Dad comes home from work! Tony was tickling her and she was loving it! We even heard a few laughs - I think! :)

First time at the zoo!

We were invited to go to the zoo with our cousins Dean and Amy and their kids, Nicholas and new arrival Miya! (3 weeks old!) It was a very fun day! We did enjoy the few moments of shade that came our way. Anna was sporting her new sunglasses and hat from Nana and Papa!

Kara's Visit

Kara came to visit for a week this summer. We were so excited to see her. She spent lots of time having girl talks with Anna.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

For Tony's birthday we decided to meet his parents for a movie. What were we thinking!? 4 month old + movie theater = not gonna happen! I spent most of the movie walking up and down the hall with Anna in her stroller. After the movie we had planned to meet his brother's family for dinner. Anna did well during the first hour but then had had enough! I took her into the bathroom to change her and she decided that the changing table was the perfect place to relax!
As you can see she wasn't crying any longer and loving stretching out! Happy Birthday Daddy!

Baptism Day!

Anna was baptized at Peace Lutheran Church on June 28, 2009! It was a very exciting day! She wore her Great-Great Grandpa Joe's baptismal dress! Jeff and Christy Schaefer were the proud Sponsors (God-Parents). Thanks to all for being there on her special day!

Letters to Anna - 2

March 24, 2009 – 39 Days Until You Are Here!

To My Perfect Anna,

Today is your mommy’s 30th birthday and I thought you should know what kind of lady she is. She is perfect in every way. She would tell you different but she does not have any proof. So I stand by knowing that she is in fact perfect. So when I say that I want you to be just like her…. I mean it.

She loves Jesus more than anyone I have ever known. She smiles all day long. We can do anything together, like walking around a bookstore, and you would think we were riding a roller coaster. She is always worried if I have clean clothes to wear. She is loving and generous. She makes time for people that need help. Of all the things she could have done for a career she chose to teach children. She can fade a problem away just by being there. Her hugs can cure anything. She always surprises me.

And, she loves you.

As you grow into the woman that will make me proud I want you to remember that your mother is the best person I know. So watch her, do as she does and learn from her actions. You will change the world if you have your mother’s heart.

Love,
Daddy

To My Wonderful Wife,

I want to thank you for giving me, your husband, the opportunity to be the man you want with your heart and mind. Thank you for providing a place better than “happily ever after”, a place I feel loved, adored, cherished, and at ease. Your arms… my home.
