Christmas 2010

Where does the time go!? It's already February and I haven't updated you since November! Yikes...! As previously promised many times.... I will TRY to get better about updating!

Well here it is... the best Christmas photo you will get! Anna is so busy that staying still for a 3-second photo is not going to happen!

Anna is 18 months old!

Anna had her 18 month old appointment today. She is 32in. tall (70%)and 25.9 lbs (70%)! The Dr. is very please with her growth and happy with where she is at! Just perfect, she says! Anna wasn't too sure about the scruchy paper on the table this time. I think that she remembered where she was at this time! As usual she didn't like the shots at the end but was quickly over it as soon as I picked her up.

Today her new words are..... 'Oh Baby!' (when looking at her dolly), 'two socks' (as she hands them to me from her crib), 'hot' (when her food is too hot), 'happy, happy, happy!' (when she's happy!), and 'DAAADDYY!' (calling dad when he's downstairs). She also is getting so good at saying 'please' and 'thank you' and just the right times! She's getting so big!

Very Special Day

Jack Thomas Schaefer was welcomed into the world on Oct. 18, 2010! He is Greg and Laura's little bundle and soooo handsome! Tony and I were so excited to visit them at home!

Anna and I baked cookies today. She was a BIG helper! "Don't worry about the Baking Soda, Mom, I've got that covered!"

Quick moves!

I went into the kitchen for 20 seconds to get something and when I returned, Anna had crawled onto the table. Apparently it's more comfortable to sit than to stand.

Don't Cry Over Spilled Milk

Today I gave Anna her own bowl with cereal in it. I thought that maybe we were old enough to add milk to the dry cereal. Judging by the reaction.... not really!

Thanks, Dad, for helping me get my pajamas on! I'm so glad that my pants won't fall off while I'm sleeping.

"Faith Day" at the Rockies Game!

For Tony's birthday I surprised him with a Rockies Game and concert evening out! After watching the Rockies Game, Jeremy Camp came on the field and performed!! It was absolutely amazing to see all of the people that stayed to hear Jeremy's touching story about his faith! Definitely a night to remember!

Anna loves to read!

Zoo Time!!! Just the three of us!

What a day. Today I had the day off and I spent it at the Zoo with my wonderful wife and daughter. Boy-oh boy am I in love with my girls.

Anna Walks

Anna has finally learned to walk! As we sat eating our dinner tonight Anna stood herself up and started walking around the family room. We ran for the camera thinking that this might be only a few short steps and it turned into 20 minutes of entertainment!! Enjoy watching Anna's big accomplishment!

Anna's Birthday Party - Success

Today we had Anna's first birthday party and it was a lot of fun. Anna really enjoyed all of her family and friends. She really, really loves all of her gifts.

Vegas Baby!

Tony and I went with Amy's family to Vegas to celebrate her Aunt's birthday. We had a lot of fun and it was nice to get away for a while. Athough.... five days was plenty of time in Vegas and we missed Anna terribly! She was lucky to stay with Nana and Papa at her own house though!

Well.... Anna is 1 today. She is growing up so fast and what a smile.

We went to the Aquarium with Nana and Papa. Anna loved seeing the fishies swim around. Time for a family picture!

Dad's Big Award!

My Dad was nominated and awarded the Ethics in Business award! It was such an honor to be chosen for this award and we are all sooo proud of him. I know that Great-Grandpa Joe was grinning from heaven as he walked up on that stage!



This was read on the House Floor in Washington and will go into the Library of Congress.

Easter!

Anna wore the dress that I had for Easter when I was one! Actually we wore it on Good Friday. That's about all the dress-wearing she could handle!




So since Anna loves to crawl around like crazy we decided not to purchase an expensive, fluufy dress that she's going to hate! Here's what we came up with!
